QB PEYTON MANNING, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS - AFC Offensive Player of the Week
Peyton Manning totaled three or more touchdowns for the 49th time of his career as the Colts defeated the

Facing the NFL’s top ranked defense, Peyton Manning completed 19 of 28 passes (67.9 percent) for 271 yards
with three touchdowns and a 134.7 passer rating.
Manning recorded all three touchdowns in the first half,
starting in the first quarter with a 67-yard strike to wide receiver MARVIN HARRISON and a 22-yard touchdown
toss to wide receiver REGGIE WAYNE, and a five-yard TD pass to Harrison in the second quarter. Manning (108)
also surpassed TERRY BRADSHAW (107) for the seventh-most wins by a quarterback in NFL history.
The Indianapolis Colts extended its win streak in the month of October to 13 consecutive games.
In his 11th season from Tennessee, this is Peyton Manning’s 17th AFC Offensive Player of the Week Award. He
most recently won the award in 2007 (Week 13).
CB ERIC WRIGHT, CLEVELAND BROWNS - AFC Defensive Player of the Week
In the Cleveland Brown’s first Monday Night Football appearance since 2003, Eric Wright electrified Browns
fans with the first interception touchdown return of his career as he helped seal a 35-14 victory over the
previously undefeated New York Giants.
With the Giants driving in Cleveland Browns territory with 8:07 remaining in the fourth quarter, Wright cut
in front of an ELI MANNING pass intended for wide receiver AMANI TOOMER and sprinted 94 yards for the score.
The Cleveland Browns have now totaled three interceptions in back-to-back games. The second-year cornerback also added
three tackles and leads the team with three interceptions (tied for third in the AFC).
In his second year from UNLV, this is Wright’s first career Defensive Player of the Week Award. He is the first Browns cornerback to win the award since ANTHONY HENRY in 2001 (Week 10).
WR-PR JACOBY JONES, HOUSTON TEXANS - AFC Special Teams Player of the Week
With the Miami Dolphins leading 14-6 in the second quarter, Jacoby Jones sparked the Texans with a 70-yard
punt return for a touchdown as the Houston Texans went on to record its first win of the season in a 29-28
victory over the Miami Dolphins.
Jacoby Jones joins AVION BLACK (12/15/02 versus Baltimore) as the only Texans player to return a punt
for a touchdown in Texans franchise history. The New Orleans native finished the day with four punt returns for
87 yards (21.8 average) and his 87 punt return yards were the second-most in team history, trailing only Black’s
92 return yards against Baltimore.
In his second season from Lane College, this is Jones’ first career Special Teams Player of the Week Award. He is the first Houston player to win the award since ANDRÉ DAVIS in 2007 (Week 14). Jones is the eighth Texans player to win Special Teams Player of the Week.
QB DREW BREES, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS - NFC Offensive Player of the Week

20 yards, including a long of 51. His touchdown passes went to running backs AARON STECKER and REGGIE BUSH and
tight end MARK CAMPBELL. Drew Brees 144.4 passer rating was his highest as a Saint.
In his eighth season from Purdue, this is Drew Brees seventh career Player of the Week Award and fifth with
the Saints. Drew Brees was honored earlier this season as the NFC Offensive Player of the Month for September.
Brees is tied with linebacker RICKEY JACKSON for the most Player of the Week Awards in franchise history with five.
S OSHIOMOGHO ATOGWE, ST. LOUIS RAMS - NFC Defensive Player of the Week
In the Rams’ 19-17 victory at Washington, Atogwe had four tackles, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery, which he returned 75 yards for a touchdown. Late in the first half, with the Redskins leading 7-3 and driving deep into Rams’ territory, Atogwe scooped up a fumble and raced 75 yards for a touchdown to give St. Louis a 10-7 halftime advantage. The 75-yard touchdown is the longest play by the Rams this season. This marked the first Rams’ defensive touchdown since December 30, 2007 when Atogwe recorded a 52-yard interception-return TD. In his past 13 games, Atogwe has nine takeaways (eight interceptions, one fumble recovery).
In his fourth year from Stanford, this is Atogwe’s first career Player of the Week Award. The last Rams player to be honored on defense was BRYCE FISHER (Week 16, 2004). Atogwe is only the fourth safety in franchise history to be named Defensive Player of the Week and the first since AENEAS WILLIAMS (Week 14, 2003).
WR SEAN MOREY, ARIZONA CARDINALS - NFC Special Teams Player of the Week
Morey, a captain on special teams, tied a career-high with four special teams tackles and blocked a punt in overtime that resulted in the game-winning touchdown in the Cardinals’ 30-24 win over Dallas. It marked the first time in NFL history that a game ended on a touchdown off a blocked punt in overtime. After the Arizona defense forced the Cowboys to punt in the extra session, Morey burst through the line and blocked the punt, which was recovered by linebacker MONTY BEISEL, who returned it three yards for the game-winning score. It was the first blocked punt returned for a touchdown by the Cardinals since 1997 when J.J. MC CLESKY blocked a punt that TOMMY BENNETT recovered for a TD. The game also marked the first time since at least the 1970 merger that a team has scored a touchdown on the first and last plays of the game as Arizona’s J.J. ARRINGTON returned the opening kickoff 93 yards for a touchdown.
In his eighth season from Brown, this is Morey’s first career Player of the Week Award. He is the ninth Cardinals player to be honored for special teams and the first since STEVE BREASTON (Week 4, 2007). Morey is the first player from Brown to win a Player of the Week Award.

With six combined kick-return touchdowns in 2007 (four punt and two kickoff), Chicago’s DEVIN HESTER -- a Pro Bowl All-Star in each of his two NFL seasons -- is widely considered the
