The Arizona Cardinals (7-3) and undefeated Tennessee Titans (10-0) find themselves this NFL 2008 week 12 on the cusp of clinching a playoff spot. That's great. But the real assignment this NFL 2008 week 12? Just beat the next opponent. The rest will take care of itself.

"We're in a good position, but it's not a done deal yet," says Arizona head coach KEN WHISENHUNT. "The players are only talking about playing the Jets on Sunday," says Tennessee coach JEFF FISHER. "That's the challenge right now."

The Cardinals vs. the Giants and Titans vs. the Jets are the two NFL 2008 Week 12 games that pit division leaders against each other. Group these four teams together and you get a 33-7 won-loss record and an .825 winning percentage.

But, says Giants head coach TOM COUGHLIN, "There are many, many big games to go." The key games of NFL 2008 Week 12 are:

New York Jets (7-3) at Tennessee Titans

New York Jets QB BRETT FAVRE and Titans QB KERRY COLLINS are two of the oldest starters in the NFL this 2008 season (Favre is 39 while Collins is 35). Both have shown this NFL 2008 season that experience tops age by leading their teams into NFL 2008 Week 12 to two of the three best records in the AFC. The Jets are tied with the Steelers for the second-best record in the AFC.

Both veteran quarterbacks will be tested. Brett Favre, who has not thrown an interception in his past two games, confronts a pass defense that continuously changes during the game, from man-to-man to zone coupled with mixtures of each. The Titans with 15 interceptions are tied with the Baltimore Ravens for second in the NFL this season. The Green Bay Packer lead the NFL 2008 season with 16. Brett Favre, sacked only four times in the past four games, also faces a defensive tackle that has DE/LB quickness in ALBERT HAYNESWORTH and his seven sacks.

The Titans lead the NFL in turnover differential (plus-10), thanks to Kerry Collins, who has only been intercepted only four times this season. Collins is also well-protected having been sacked the fewest times (5) among the NFLs top-20 passers going into NFL 2008 week 12.

Matchup to watch: Jets defensive tackle KRIS JENKINS in an interview with FOX analyst TONY SIRAGUSA says that he is definitely looking forward to going against former Jets center KEVIN MAWAE.

New York Giants (9-1) at Arizona Cardinals (7-3)

Starting quarterbacks Eli Manning and Kurt Warner know each other well. As a matter of fact, Arizona's KURT WARNER played the Giants first nine games of ELI MANNING's rookie year (2004) before Eli finished the NFL 2004 season's final seven games.

Both are also Super Bowl winning quarterbacks and MVPs. Super Bowl XLII MVP Eli Manning led his Giants to a 17-14 victory over the New England Patriots. Kurt Warner was named MVP for Super Bowl XXXIV as the Saint Louis Rams defeated the Tennessee Titans 23-16. Kurt Warner was 24 of 45 for a Super Bowl-record 414 yards and 2 touchdown passes.

Both have excelled this NFL 2008 season. Kurt Warner leads the NFL in passer rating (105.5), has posted a club-record four consecutive 300-yard games and has taken the Cards to a four-game division lead.

Eli Manning has led the Giants to their best start since their Super Bowl XXV season of 1990 (10-0). The Giants have scored 30 or more points in their last three games and lead the NFL with 292 points scored so far this NFL 2008 season. The Arizona Cardinals along with the New York Jets are second in the points scored category with 289.

Even with those strong arms, the real battle could come on the ground. The Giants, with their three-pronged "Earth, Wind and Fire" rushing attack of BRANDON JACOBS, DERRICK WARD and AHMAD BRADSHAW, lead the NFL going into NFL 2008 Week 12 in rushing and come off their third 200-yard rush game in a row, giving them a team-record five such games in a season. This week the Giants face a strong Cardinals defense, the NFLs number 7 rush defense.

The Giants have won six consecutive games in domes, including at the site of this Sunday's game in University of Phoenix Stadium when its roof was closed for Super Bowl XLII.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (6-4) at SAN DIEGO CHARGERS (4-6)

The Indianapolis Colts are getting hot, but the Chargers cooled them off last year.

The Colts, after starting the NFL 2008 season 3-4, have won their last three games heading into NFL 2008 Week 12 and are starting to look like their old selves. Relying on a no-huddle offense last week, Colts QB PEYTON MANNING engineered three long second-half scoring drives against the Houston Texans while assembling vintage Peyton Manning numbers of 30-of-46 completions for 320 yards and no interceptions.

But a year ago (November 11) at around the same site, the San Diego Chargers were all over Manning, intercepting him a Colts' single-game record six times in the Chargers 23-21 victory. Two months later in Indianapolis, it was two more Manning interceptions by the Chargers (not including a nullified 89-yard TD return by ANTONIO CROMARTIE) in a 28-24 San Diego Divisional Playoff win.

But now it's 2008 and the 4-6 San Diego Chargers, winners of their past 18 of 20 games at home, realize that time is running out. "The Colts are getting hot, so they'll be tough," says Chargers QB PHILIP RIVERS, who leads the league in touchdown passes (21). "But we'll be ready to go."

The Colts are currently in a four-way tie for the two wilcard playoff spots in the AFC with the Dolphins, Patriots and Ravens. The San Diego Chargers are trail the Broncos by 2 games in the AFC West and have been a disappointing 2-3 over their last 5 games.

Green Bay Packer (5-5) at New Orleans Saints (5-5)

It could be special this Monday night in New Orleans when the air-show-express of QB DREW BREES and the Saints confronts the blanket pass coverage of the interception-crazed Green Bay Packers.

Drew Brees, first in the NFL in pass attempts (398) and passing yards (3,251) this NFL 2008 season, is on pace to break DAN MARINO's NFL single season record of 5,084 passing yards. Brees has the most 300-yard passing games (7) in the NFL this year heading into NFL 2008 Week 12 and distributes his passes amongst his fleet of receivers MARQUES COLSTON, DEVERY HENDERSON and LANCE MOORE. In addition running back RB REGGIE BUSH (42 catches) may be back this week.

That all said, the Green Bay Packers secondary led by CHARLES WOODSON and AL HARRIS can be daunting. Last Sunday, for instance, Green Bay played five DBs to limit Chicago's air game in a 37-3 NFL 2008 Week 11 win. The Packers lead the NFL with 16 interceptions (six returned for TDs) and has limited opposition QBs to league lows in passer rating (59.5) and completion percentage (51.5).

Meanwhile, let's not forget that other QB Monday night, Green Bay Packers QB AARON RODGERS. In his first year as a starter, Rodgers has taken the Packers to the same record as the Saints, is second in the NFL behind Brees in passer rating (No. 5, 94.5, to Brees' No. 4, 95.4) and has thrown at least two touchdowns in a game five times this NFL 2008 season. CINCINNATI BENGALS (1-8-1) at PITTSBURGH STEELERS (7-3)

Thursday night, NFL Network, 8:00 PM ET

Throw out the records for this AFC North division rivalry between the Bengals and Steelers.

"Hey, we're a good team, regardless of the record," says Cincinnati S CHRIS CROCKER. And no better time to prove it than the NFL 2008 Week 12 Thursday night game in Pittsburgh, who defeated the Bengals a month ago 38-10.

It won't be easy. Although the Steelers barely beat the San Diego Chargers 11-10 in NFL 2008 Week 11, the Steelers seem to be solidifying things as the Thanksgiving turn approaches. QB BEN ROETHLISBERGER threw 0 interceptions against the Chargers, RB WILLIE PARKER ran for 115 yards and WR HINES WARD produced 124 yards. In Ward's last three games against the Cincinnati Bengals, he has had 15 catches for 238 yards and five touchdowns.

It will be a top-this showdown between Ward and the Bengals T.J. HOUSHMANDZADEH, who leads the NFL in receptions with 73 and comes off a 12-catch, 149-yard, one-TD day against Philadelphia. Houshmandzadeh's specialty is going underneath and turning the short catch into long gains.

Steelers defensive coordinator DICK LE BEAU, the Bengals' head coach from 2000-02, will be honored by the NFL in pregame for his 50 years of service to the league as a player and coach.
