Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton, Chiefs linebacker Tamba Hali and Broncos kicker Matt Prater are the AFC Players of the Week for games played the 14th week of the NFL 2013 season

Offense: QB Andy Dalton, Cincinnati Bengals

Andy Dalton completed 24 of 35 passes (68.6 percent) for 275 yards with three touchdowns versus zero interceptions and a 120.5 passer rating in the Bengals’ 42-28 win over Indianapolis. Dalton also added an eight-yard rushing touchdown.

Dalton’s 120.5 passer rating was the third best in the AFC in Week 14.

Registered his 15th career regular-season game with 100+ passer rating. The Bengals are 14-1 (.933) in such games.

His three touchdown passes tied for the third-most in the AFC in Week 14.

The win helped the Bengals improve to 6-0 at home in 2013.

In his third season from Texas Christian, this is Dalton’s third career Offensive Player of the Week award. He most recently won the award in Week 6.

He joins PEYTON MANNING (Week 1 & 3) and PHILIP RIVERS (Week 2 & 4) as the only players to win AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors twice in 2013.

Defense: LB Tamba Hali, Kansas City Chiefs

Hali posted a team-best six tackles, two sacks and three tackles for loss in the Chiefs’ 45-10 win at Washington.

Hali’s two sacks tied for an AFC-best in Week 14 and tied for the third-most in the NFL.

Played a key role for a Chiefs defense that registered one interception, six sacks and limited the Redskins to 257 yards of total offense.

Through Week 14, Hali is tied for fourth in the AFC with 11 sacks.

Has reached double-digits sacks for the third time in his career.

In his eighth season from Penn State, this is Hali’s third career Defensive Player of the Week Award. He most recently won the award in Week 6.

This is the fourth time a Chiefs player has won Defensive Player of the Week honors this season (Hali, Week, 6 & 14; JUSTIN HOUSTON, Week 1 & 3).

Special Teams: K Matt Prater, Denver Broncos

Prater converted all three field-goal attempts in the Broncos’ 51-28 win over Tennessee.

On the final play of the first half, Prater converted a 64-yard field goal, the longest in NFL history.

His three field goals of 25, 64, and 19 yards tied for the most in the AFC in Week 14.

His 15 points led the NFL last week and tied his single-game career-best.

Prater has made 18 of 19 field goals (94.7 percent) this season, the third-highest percentage in the NFL.

Helped the Broncos become the fifth team ever to score 50+ points in three different games in the same season.

In his seventh season from Central Florida, this is Prater’s fifth career Special Teams Player of the Week Award. He most recently won the award in 2012 (Week 4).

He joins TRINDON HOLLIDAY (Week 2) as the second Bronco to earn AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors this season.
