Heavenly French Toast

A combination of crushed cereal and sliced almonds gives this french toast a flavorful and crunchy coating.
Crush the cereal by placing it in a zipper-lock bag and rolling over the bag with a rolling pin.
Makes 4 servings
Heavenly French Toast Recipe Ingredients
3 large eggs
1 cup milk
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 cups Kellogg's® Special K cereal, lightly crushed
3/4cup sliced almonds
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
8 slices white bread
Heavenly French Toast Recipe Directions
In a medium bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla and salt.
In a shallow bowl, combine cereal and almonds.
Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Dip four slices of bread in egg mixture, transfer to bowl with cereal mixture, and coat on both sides.
Cook until crisp and golden turning once, four to five minutes total.
Repeat with remaining ingredients.
