Hornets Win Top Lottery Pick in Upcoming NBA Draft
Fitzgerald Cecilio
New York, NY
Tom Benson has done a little dancing before as owner of the New Orleans Saints.
The Hornets new owner may have also taken a few steps Wednesday night when his team won the No. 1 pick in the NBA's draft lottery.
The Hornets will almost certainly select Kentucky standout Anthony Davis with the top pick at the event, to be held June 28 in Newark, N.J.
The No. 2 pick belongs to the NBA's worst team, the Charlotte Bobcats, while 3-5 belong to the Wizards, Cavs and Kings, respectively.
The Blazers, Raptors, Warriors, Pistons and Hornets round out the top 10 picks. The Blazers and Hornets second pick were acquired via trades.
