Devils Defeat Flyers 4-2 on Brodeur's 40th

The New Jersey Devils are one win away from the Eastern Conference finals after overcaming a two-goal deficit to defeat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-2 in Game 4 of their Eastern Conference semifinal
Dainius Zubrus put New Jersey ahead 3-2 late in the second period and then sealed the vicotry with an empty-net goal in the final minute. Petr Sykora and Marek Zidlicky also scored for the Devils. Goaltender Martin Brodeur had an assist in winning on his 40th birthday. The Devils outshot the Flyers 43-22.
The Devils have won three straight and can close out the series with a Game 5 victory in Philadelphia and advance to their first conference final since 2003.

Giroux Suspended One Game for Hit on Zubrus
Philadelphia Flyers forward Claude Giroux has been suspended for one game for delivering an illegal check to the head of New Jersey Devils forward Dainius Zubrus during the teams' Eastern Conference Semifinal game in New Jersey on Sunday, May 6, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 19:56 of the second period. Giroux skated in front of Zubrus with seconds remaining in the second period and hit Zubrus in the head with his shoulder. Zubrus had already played the puck forward. A minor penalty for illegal check to the head was assessed to Giroux.
