Huskies quarterback Chandler Harnish threw for 294 yards and two TDs, as streaking Northern Illinois University continued its division title bid with a 45-14 conquest of the Bowling Green Falcons at Perry Stadium.
It was the fifth straight victory of the Huskies (7-3, 5-1 Mid-American Conference), who moved closer to the division title.
Northern Illinois had 283 yards rushing and finished with 623 total yards in the victory that enabled the Huskies to remain tied with Toledo for first place in the MAC's West Division.
Harnish, coming off a solid outing in a crucial win over Toledo on Nov. 1 where he threw for 265 yards and six TD, also ran for 151 yards and another score in Tuesday night's triumph.
Willie Clark had four grabs for 109 yards and two scores for the victors.
Falcons signal-caller Matt Schilz threw for 255 yards and two TD. He connected on 22-of-38 passes including a 14-yard strike to one of his favorite target, Kamar Jorden, just before halftime to cut the deficit to 24-14.
Jorden ended the night with four catches for 152 yards and both TDs.
Bowling Green (4-6, 2-4) has lost five of its last six contests.
