The Philadelphia Phillies made sure Jimmy Rollins won't go anywhere after signing the All-Star shortstop to a three-year, $33 million deal
The 33-year-old Rollins will continue to render his services for the Phillies, his team since he was selected in the 1996 MLB Draft.
Rollins, a .272 lifetime hitter with 170 homers and 725 RBI, will reportedly pocket $33 million over three years and possibly $11 million as part of a vesting option for a fourth year.
The three-time all-star and former National League MVP confirmed the deal via Twitter, stating "I see you all know by now. Gotta deal with me for 3 (4) more years!"
With 1,866 hits, Rollins is currently fourth on the Phillies career list just behind franchise legends Richie Ashburn, Mike Schmidt and Ed Delahanty.
