Kenjon Barner's Four TDs Power Oregon Past Washington State

Senior running back Kenjon Barner rushed for three scores and caught another as second-ranked Oregon pulled away in the third period en route to a 51-26 crushing of Washington State, 51-26, Saturday at CenturyLink Field.
Barner tallied 195 rushing yards on 20 carries and added 37 yards on three receptions for the Ducks, who stayed unbeaten in five games, with two of the wins coming against PAC-12 opponents.
With his four touchdowns, Barner moved to No. 6 on Oregon's all-time scoring list with 222 points while passing Ahmad Rashad for third on the career TD list with 37 scores.
Quarterback Marcus Mariota completed 21 of 32 passes for 169 yards and one touchdown and added a 13-yard rushing score in the first quarter for the Ducks.
Playmaker Connor Halliday went 33-for-60 for 348 yards with a touchdown and an interception for the Cougars, who dropped to 2-3, 0-2 in PAC-12 play.
Cougars' junior wide receiver Marquess Wilson had 182 yards and a score on 12 receptions to become Washington State's all-time leader in yards receiving, overtaking Brandon Gibson's 2,756 yards
Freshman wideout Brett Bartolone caught nine passes for 87 yards and a touchdown and running back Carl Winston added a touchdown rush in a losing effort for the Cougars.
Barner ran for a 22-yard touchdown to begin the first quarter and Mariota added a touchdown sprint to sandwich a 19-yard field goal by Cougars kicker Andrey Furney for a 13-3 lead.
Barner then caught a 30-yard scoring pass by Mariota before Winston scored on a two-yard touchdown run but the extra point was blocked, ending the first quarter with the Ducks ahead, 20-9.
Furney opened the second period with a 20-yard field goal that was countered by Rob Beard's 34-yard field goal. Bartolone caught a 22-yard touchdown pass from Halliday to cut the Ducks' lead to 23-19 at the half.
Sophomore De'Anthony Thomas sparked the Ducks' uprising in the third period with a four-yard touchdown run followed by 34-yard touchdown return by Avery Patterson after picking a pass by Halliday.
Barner scored his third touchdown with a 10-yard run in the third quarter. He then capped his exceptional play with an 80-yard rush to the endzone for a 51-19 advantage.
Wilson made the final score more acceptable with a 25-yard receiving touchdown from backup quarterback Jeff Tuel. The catch was Wilson's 23rd receiving touchdown of his career, passing Hugh Campbell for second on WSU's school record.
