Having secret meetings about legislation that will affect every American is unconscionable! Also it makes just one more lie to what Obama promised about transparency. Obama campaigned one way and is governing the other -- he is a far-left radical who the press refused to vet before he was elected. He is so weak on terror it is scary. He has no idea how to run anything as he has no experience with anything but government jobs. He is totally in over his head.

The normal method of House-Senate reconciliation comprises "open" meetings that are perfunctory media parties, while all the serious work is done, in the stock phrase, "behind closed doors." The only difference here is that the see-me-on-TV sound-bite party for the politicians has been cut out. Peter Roff is perfectly well aware of all this, yet tries to cast some cloud of "evil secrecy" over the matter. That is pure, disingenuous propaganda.

The Democrat politicians who control Congress have made a total mockery of the opening phrase of the Constitution "We the people," and our entire Constitution. The United States is now an oligarchy controlled by essentially a dozen or so Democrats in Congress and a Democrat president acting in opposition to the people based on every available poll on the views of the people concerning healthcare.

Americans want to see things get done. Get on with it. This reform is long overdue. This fear-mongering doesn't work anymore. Last I heard we still live in a representative democratic republic, and we have elected officials to do the "sausage making." The majority of Congress already decided to go forward with healthcare reform, and they represent the majority of Americans demanding healthcare reform. The obnoxious minority will still be obnoxious anyway, so get it done. Excuse me if I don't see why we need any more input from all the obstructionists, whether they be drug company hacks, tea-party groups, or the corrupt, do-nothing Republicans.

How can they look any of us in the eye with any type of moral authority knowing they passed healthcare legislation, and they'll never feel the brunt of its effects. How can they truly call themselves "representative" of the people when they pass laws that they're not held too?
