Madison Keys is a professional tennis player from the United States. She was born on February 17, 1995, in Rock Island, Illinois. Keys began playing tennis at a young age and turned professional in 2009, at the age of 14.

Madison Keys was introduced to tennis by her mother, who was also a tennis player. She started playing competitively at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks of junior tennis. Keys won her first professional tournament at the age of 16 in 2011, and she continued to climb the rankings in the following years.

In 2015, Keys had her breakthrough year on the WTA tour, reaching the semifinals of the Australian Open and the quarterfinals of Wimbledon.
