Tennis Star Madison Keys

Madison Keys is a professional tennis player from the United States. She was born on February 17, 1995, in Rock Island, Illinois. Keys began playing tennis at a young age and turned professional in 2009, at the age of 14.

Madison Keys was introduced to tennis by her mother, who was also a tennis player. She started playing competitively at a young age and quickly rose through the ranks of junior tennis. Keys won her first professional tournament at the age of 16 in 2011, and she continued to climb the rankings in the following years.

In 2015, Keys had her breakthrough year on the WTA tour, reaching the semifinals of the Australian Open and the quarterfinals of Wimbledon. She won her first WTA title later that year at the Bank of the West Classic in Stanford, California. She followed that up with two more titles in 2016, at the Aegon Classic in Birmingham and the China Open in Beijing.

Keys struggled with injuries in 2017, but she still managed to reach the final of the US Open, where she lost to Sloane Stephens. She reached the quarterfinals of the French Open and Wimbledon in 2018, and she won her sixth career title at the Volvo Car Open in Charleston, South Carolina in 2019.

Throughout her career, Keys has been ranked as high as No. 7 in the world in singles by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA). She has won six WTA singles titles and reached the final of the US Open in 2017. Keys has also been a member of the United States Fed Cup team and helped lead the team to the title in 2017.

Keys is known for her powerful serve and aggressive baseline game. She has a strong forehand and backhand, and is able to hit winners from all areas of the court.

Outside of tennis, Keys is known for her advocacy work. She has been an ambassador for FearlesslyGIRL, an organization that works to empower girls and combat bullying, since 2016. She has also worked with other charitable organizations, including the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
