We found the only person on the planet who doesn't think Serena Williams is the greatest female tennis player of all-time, and that would be ... Serena Williams.
In an interview in 2016, Serena Williams was asked about her place in tennis history and the assertion that she is the greatest female tennis player of all time. Her response was: "I prefer the word 'one of' the greatest female tennis players of all time. I think there are a number of players - especially in the past, and currently playing - who have brought so much to the sport. And they're all really amazing players."
Serena Williams has often expressed her respect and admiration for other great female tennis players who came before her, such as Billie Jean King and Martina Navratilova. She has also acknowledged the accomplishments of players who have competed against her during her career, such as her sister Venus Williams, Steffi Graf, and Margaret Court.
While many consider Serena Williams to be the greatest female tennis player of all time due to her numerous Grand Slam titles and other achievements, she herself has humbly refrained from claiming that title, acknowledging the contributions and accomplishments of her predecessors and contemporaries in the sport.
