Eugene, OR
Darron Thomas passed for three scores and LaMichael James ran for three more as Oregon routed UCLA 49-31 in a Pac-12 title that wasn't as close as the final score made it appear.
The Bruins hung in for about a quarter and a half, but were doomed to lose to a much faster and more talented team.
UCLA (6-7, 5-4 Pac-12) was led by quarterback Kevin Prince's two touchdown passes and one scoring run, but were 30-point underdogs by most experts.
The Ducks (11-2, 8-1), enjoyed Rose stems for their next stop: the Rose Bowl.
UCLA trailed just 21-14 on a Prince 37 yard touchdown pass to Nelson Rosario and Patrick Larimore interception and 35 yard scoring return.
But Oregon took over from there, however. James romped three yards for a score and Thomas connected with Daryle Hawkins for 25 yard touchdown strike with 4:25 left and the Ducks put the Bruins away.
The Ducks finished things off with a James 5-yard scoring romp and Thomas' 22 yard scoring connection with David Paulson.
