Kimberly Rhode can sure shoot ... and that is an understatement if ever there was one.

Rhode became the first American to capture an individual medal in five straight Olympics by taking gold in Sunday's women's skeet shooting competition at the London Games.

Rhode put on a remarkable show, tying the world record and setting a new Olympic standard with 99 points.

She outshot Wei Ning of China, who took silver with 91 points and Danka Bartekova of Slovakia got bronze.

Rhode was superb in qualifying, missing just one of 75 shots in an incredible display. She has a history of Olympic success, notching gold in Atlanta in 1996, taking bronze in 2000, recapturing gold in 2004 and snaring silver in 2008.
