Browns quarterback Colt McCoy connected with Mohamed Massaquoi on a 14-yard touchdown pass in the final seconds Sunday to lift the Cleveland Browns to a 17-16 victory over the Miami Dolphins.

Massaquoi went up to make a leaping catch with 43 seconds to go to give Cleveland (2-1) its second straight victory.

The Browns rallied to win despite playing without running back Peyton Hillis, who was sent home with a high fever and is suffering from strep throat.

Montario Hardesty replaced Hillis and gained 67 yards on 14 carries and also caught a crucial pass for a first down on the final 80-yard game-winning drive.

Chad Henne completed 15 of his first 17 passes and finished 19 for 29 for 255 yards for the Dolphins (0-3). He threw a 10-yard TD pass to Daniel Thomas in the first quarter to open the scoring.

Miami got into Cleveland territory after the score by Massaqoui, but was intercepted on 4th-and-10 with 13 seconds left.

McCoy also threw a 33-yard TD pass to Josh Cribbs in the second quarter to tie the game, 7-7.
