Kyle Orton went 23-for-31 for 299 yards and kicker Ryan Succup converted all his four field goals and the Kansas City Chiefs ended the Green Bay Packers' immaculate run, 19-14 Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium.

Hampered with injuries all season long, the Chiefs set aside distractions to pull off a stunner against the previously unbeaten Packers.

Orton played well in his first start with the Chiefs, orchestrating several key drives and finishing with a 104.1 quarterback rating.

Meanwhile, Succup opened things up for the Chiefs offense after scoring on two field goal attempts in the first quarter.

Quarterback Aaron Rodgers put the Packers back in the match with a two-yard TD pass to Donald Driver In the third quarter.

But the Chiefs responded with two more field goal conversions from Succup and one-yard TD run by Jackie Battle in the fourth quarter.

Rodgers 8-yard TD run was not enough to prevent the Packers from suffering their first loss in 14 games.

Rodgers threw 17-for-35 for 235 yards in a so-so effort, while cornerback Charles Woodson led the Packers defense with 11 tackles.

With the defeat, the Packers fell short in duplicating the feat achieved by the New England Patriots, who went 16-0 in the regular-season but lost to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl XLII.

Coach Mike McCarthy downplayed the perfect season, insisting their goal was not to finish the season without a loss but to gain a home-field advantage throughout the postseason.

The Packers (13-1) have only two games left in their regular-season schedule, battling the Chicago Bears on Dec. 25 and Detroit Lions on Jan.1.

The Chiefs (6-8) will try to stay in the playoff picture as they play division rivals Oakland Raiders on Dec. 24 and Denver Broncos on Jan. 1.
