Nick Folk kicked a 50-yard field goal with 27 seconds left to give the New York Jets a 27-24 victory over the Dallas Cowboys but the player most responsible for New York's late comeback was Dallas quarterback Tony Romo.

Romo made a pair of critical mistakes in the fourth quarter to open the door for the Jets to win an emotional game played on the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

With the Cowboys up 24-17 and threatening, Romo fumbled at the Jets 3-yard line while diving for extra yardage. Instead of a comfortable cushion for Dallas, New York felt like it had dodged a bullet.

"I cost us the football game tonight,'' Romo said. "That's frustrating and disappointing. We work very hard to make sure that we're put in those positions to win the game and when that happens, it's very tough to swallow. I have to do better. That's the bottom line."

The Jets tied the game off a blocked punt that was returned for a touchdown and then got some more help from Romo.

Dallas had the ball with 59 seconds left and the game tied, 24-24. But on the first play Romo was intercepted by New York standout corner Darrelle Revis, who returned it 20 yards to Dallas' 34.

"Dez (Bryant) was coming back on the outside. The coverage dictated it. He was right with what he did. He kept going on it," Romo said.. ""We win that football game if I don't do what I did."
