Colt McCoy looked every bit a starting quarterback and the Cleveland Browns started the Pat Shurmur era with a victory as they posted a 27-17 victory over the Green Bay Packers Saturday night.

McCoy was sharp in running the West Coast offense as he played three series and led the Browns to touchdowns on two of them.

McCoy went 9 of 10 for 135 yards, including a 27-yard TD pass to Josh Cribbs. He led the Browns on another scoring drive that culminated with a three-yard touchdown run by Peyton Hillis.

Green Bay led 17-14 at the half but Cleveland scored 13 consecutive points after intermission to pull out the win.

The Browns scored on a 43-yard fumble return by linebacker Titus Brown and kicker Jeff Wolfert added field goals of 46 and 44 yards.

The Packers were coming off a White House visit to celebrate their Super Bowl championship. They presented President Obama, a Bears fan, with a personalized jersey during the visit.

Aaron Rogers led the Packers to a touchdown in the first quarter and he finished 6 of 8 for 74 yards and a TD in a couple series.
