Florida State defensive end Bjoern Werner to enter draft

Tallahassee, FL

Florida State Seminoles defensive end Bjoern Werner announced he will enter the NFL Draft.

Werner, who recorded 40 tackles and 13 sacks with the Seminoles this season, is expected to be one of the most highly rated defensive players to hit the draft.

Werner said he's grateful for the opportunity of playing with the Seminoles, saying he learned so much from his coach and the institution.

"I'm grateful to Coach (Jimbo) Fisher and Florida State for giving me the opportunity to be a Seminole and play for one of the top college football programs in the country," said Werner.

The 6-foot-4, 255-pound Werner is ranked as the eighth-best player by ESPN's Scouts Inc and tabbed to be a top-10 pick in April's draft.
