Prince-Tyson Gulley covered 215 yards with two TDs as the Syracuse Orange ran away with a 38-14 win over the West Virginia Mountaineers Saturday at Yankee Stadium.
Syracuse completed a solid season with a blowout win over West Virginia at the home of the New York Yankees.
Boosted by a mostly home crowd, Syracuse used a furious rushing attack to rip through the Mountaineers defense.
After taking 12-7 halftime lead, the Orange came through with an explosive second half as quarterback Ryan Nassib delivered two TD passes, one snared by Gulley.
Gulley almost single-handedly powered the Orange offense, which produced 23 points in the third quarter. Syracuse defense also held its ground defensively.
Quarterback Geno Smith covered 187 yards on 16-for-24 passing for West Virginia, who finished with 7-6 season. Syracuse recorded an 8-5 slate.
