The University of Miami Hurricanes held off the Illinois Fighting Illini as Shane Larkin hit the go-ahead 3-pointer with a minute left, helping the Hurricanes to a 63-59 victory. The victory advances Miami to the Sweet 16.

The game was a see-saw battle between both teams. Miami led by as much as seven late in the first half, Illinois scored the last 4 points to narrow the Miami lead to 29-26 at half-time.

The Illini fought their way back in to the game with a 15-6 run towards the end of the second half to take a 54-52 lead with three minutes left. Miami re-captured to lead for good on Larkin's clutch three-pointer.

Shane Larkin finished the game with 17 points and five assists. Rion Brown scored 19 points to lead the Hurricanes. Brandon Paul led Illinois with 18 points.

Miami advances on to the Sweet 16 to play Marquette.
