Kansas City, MO

After a miserable first half, Marshall Henderson scored 17 of his 19 points in the second as No. 12 Ole Miss outscored No. 5 Wisconsin en route to a 57-46 win Friday in the second round of the NCAA Tournament at Sprint Center.

Henderson's back-to-back three pointer midway through the second half tied the game at 36 and his seven straight points five minutes later put the Rebels ahead for good, 50-44, for their first NCAA Tournament win since the 2001 Sweet Sixteen run.

The Rebels, in their first NCAA Tournament since 2002, improved to 27-8 overall, tying the school record for wins in a season.

The SEC Tournament champion will next face the winner of the Kansas State-La Salle showdown Sunday.

Murphy Holloway added 10 points and nine boards while Reginald Buckner had nine points, 12 boards and five blocks for the Rebels, who shot 22-for-57 from the field for 38.6 percent.

However, the Badgers shot even worse, making just 15 of 59 shots for 25.4 percent. Sam Dekker was the only player in double digits for Wisconsin with 14.

Jared Berggren had eight points and nine boards while Ben Brust, the team's leading scorer with an 11.2 average, was limited to just six on 2-for-9 shooting.

Both teams struggled to find the mark in the first half, with Ole Miss shooting 10-for-32 and Wisconsin 7-for-23.

However, the Badgers grabbed a 25-22 lead at the break after making four of their 13 attempts from beyond the arc while the Rebels missed all of their six three-point tries.

In the second half, the Rebels improved their shooting to 48 percent (12-for-25) while the Badgers made just eight of 36 attempts for 22.2 percent.

Marshall Henderson shook out of a shooting slump and scored 17 points in the second half, leading 12th-seeded Mississippi past No. 5 Wisconsin 57-46 on Friday, giving the Rebels their first NCAA tournament win since 2002
