Dayton, OH

The Indiana Hoosiers closed with a 10-0 run to hold off Temple 58-52 in the East Regional and advance to the NCAA Tournament round of 16 for the second straight year.

Victor Oladipo scored 16 points and Cody Zeller added 15 for the Hoosiers.

Scoring from inside and out, Temple star and Atlantic 10's Player of the Year Khalif Wyatt had 20 points in the first half as the Owls led 29-26 at the break.

But in the second half, Indiana used Oladipo, Remy Abell, Will Sheehey and Zeller on Wyatt, who found it much more difficult to get to the basket -- or even an unobstructed look at it.

With the score tied at 52-all, Wyatt broke free from Oladipo, but missed a 3-pointer and Indiana got the rebound.

Oladipo split a pair of free throws, but he was able to keep the ball from Wyatt on Temple's next trip, which ended up with Rhalir Hollis-Jefferson, who missed a shot.

With 14 seconds remaining, Oladipo then hit a key 3-pointer to put the Hoosiers up 56-52.

The win kept Indiana from being the second No. 1 seed to be swept from the NCAA tournament.

They will play No. 4 seed Syracuse in the regional semifinals on Thursday in Washington.

Temple's Khalif Wyatt scored 31 points to lead the Owls (24-10). He is just the fourth player to score at least 30 points in the round of 64 and 32 in the same NCAA tournament over the past 10 years.

Victor Oladipo hit a key 3-pointer with 13 seconds remaining and Indiana, minutes away from being the second No. 1 seed to be swept from the NCAA tournament, held off Temple 58-52 on Sunday in the East Regional
