The Dallas Mavericks are all a-Twitter over their NBA championship, using the social networking site to celebrate their first-ever title.

The Mavs, who ousted the Heat in a sixth game in the best-of-seven series Sunday night, are understandably joyous over their achievement.

"This will sound weird. I'm laying in bed. with the trophy next to me," tweeted Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban.

It's actually pretty understandable, considering his battles with the league over the years and with the team coming up short vs. the same Miami Heat squad in the 2006 NBA Finals.

Tyson Chandler, who scored just five points but had eight rebounds and two steals in game six, tweeted: "I slept like a CHAMP last night!"

The team's biggest star, Dirk Nowitzki, who won with grace and class, tweeted:

"We r world champs babyyy. Absolutely amazing. Tanks to all mavs fans across the world. This one is for you guys. Flyin bak home now. Cheers."

A few typos from a champ can be forgiven, after all.
