Orange is probably on top of the list of colors you never thought you would wear on your lips, but it's worth a second look.
Like bright pink and fuchsia, orange lipstick is a look-at-me color, and it's fresher than classic red for spring.
Tangerine-colored lips were seen on the spring 2011 runways at Dior, Thuy, and Marc by Marc Jacobs, among others, and on the red carpet on trendsetters, including Chloe Sevigny and Kirsten Dunst. You can expect orange lipstick to stick around for several months -- it's a natural color for summer. Simply pair it with gold eye shadow and bronzer to complete your sun-kissed glow.
If you're shy about the color, try a coral gloss. Ready for more splash? A long-lasting lipstick imparts more pigment for a deeper hue. Whichever coverage you opt for, buff lips lightly with a warm washcloth to prevent any flakiness -- a smooth lip palette is key to this bold look.
