Grace Gold
From Diane Von Furstenberg, to Vivienne Tam, to Derek Lam, cat eyes stole the show on the spring fashion runways. The flick of liner instantly dresses up casual denim by day and adds a smoky sensuality to dresses and stilettos by night, making the sexy makeup look one of the most versatile.
To replicate the look, you'll want the most amount of control from a liner -- use either a liquid liner or a freshly sharpened eyeliner pencil. To sketch the perfect swoop, place a finger at the corner of your lid, and gently press outwards. Then, draw a fine line from the end of the eye to meet your finger in an upward slant. Marry the line to the top of your lash line with another stroke or two.
You can kick it up a notch by layering volumizing mascara on the lashes, concentrating on the outer corners of the eyes. Two or three individual lashes glued into this area can further emphasize the Sophia Loren-like shape.
The truly daring can experiment with kohl liner smudged just below the lower lashes for a sexy statement. Pair it with equal parts flirtation and coyness, and leave all insecurities behind.
