Anne L. Fritz
I've got major eyelash envy going on right about now.
Kim Kardashian's lashes look like they're growing longer every day, and I can only guess that Jennifer Love Hewitt's monthly mascara bill rivals the cost of a pair of Louboutins.
Longer eyelashes can make your eyes pop, help you look more rested and awake and erase the years. Try these tips to amp up your own fringe.
Beginner
Swipe on lengthening mascara for longer eyelashes, or volumizing mascara for thicker ones. Apply two to three times, letting each coat dry for about 30 seconds between applications.
Intermediate
For a hot date or special occasion, false eyelashes give instant gratification. Individuals are easier to apply, but strips give more oomph.
Advanced
If you've tried falsies and are addicted, lash extensions may be the answer to your longer-eyelash prayers. Many hair salons and spas now offer this service, during which single faux lashes are glued to your own individual lashes. The results last about four to six weeks.
Expert
Many lash growth products are now on the market. If you're curious, speak to your dermatologist about the options.
