Fantastic Five Quarterbacks - QBs with Most Wins First Five Seasons

Since entering the NFL as a first-round draft pick in 2004, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback BEN ROETHLISBERGER has won 51 games in that span, the most wins in NFL history for a quarterback in his first five seasons.

"You look at the number of wins that this kid has had in his five years in the league, and you see that he's a pretty special guy," says Steelers quarterbacks coach KEN ANDERSON.

"A quarterback's job is to go out and win games for his team," says Anderson, who still holds Cincinnati Bengals career records in completions, passing yards and touchdowns. "He has shown it since his rookie year when he stepped in and won a whole lot of football games. Coach MIKE TOMLIN talks about how there are no style points and that it's always how you finish up at the end of the game on the scoreboard."

Throughout his five-year career, Roethlisberger has found a way to win, showing his desire and leadership to the 10 other players in the huddle. He has guided the team to two Super Bowl victories (XL, XLIII) and is the youngest starting quarterback to win a Super Bowl (23 years old).

"God gave him a lot of talent, but he also gave him a ton of fortitude," says Steelers offensive coordinator BRUCE ARIANS.

"He's one of the toughest competitors I've been around. I coached PEYTON MANNING his first two years in Indianapolis and there's one comparative thing that they both have -- it's the desire to win no matter what they're playing. Ben has to go win everything. That is the driving force that makes great players great."
