London, England
Liverpool and Stoke advanced to the quarterfinals of the FA Cup while fellow Premier League side Tottenham was held to a 0-0 draw by third-tier Stevenage.
Liverpool posted a 6-1 victory over second-tier side Brighton. Liverpool joins Sunderland, Bolton, Everton and Leicester in the quarterfinals.
Last season's runner-up, Stoke beat fourth-tier side Crawley 2-0, getting goals from Jonathan Walters and Peter Crouch.
Stoke, which lost 1-0 to Manchester City in last season's FA Cup final, will meet Liverpool next.
Tottenham had a goal by Louis Saha wiped out because of offside and the two teams will meet again in a replay. The winner of the replay will meet Bolton in the next round.
