The third-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys, who kept alive their perfect slate Saturday against the Baylor Bears, and the epic clash between No. 6 Stanford and USC highlighted action in Week 9.

Brandon Weeden threw for 274 yards and three TDs while Joseph Randle scored four times on the ground as the red-hot Cowboys (8-0, 5-0 Big 12) crushed the Bears 59-24 at Boone Pickens Stadium.

In that rout, OSU shutout out the Bears 35-0 in the first half.

The Cowboys will try to carry the momentum and extend their undefeated campaign against Kansas State next Saturday.

In Los Angeles, CA, Andrew Luck and his No. 6 ranked Stanford Cardinal needed three overtimes to subdue a gritty USC Trojans team 56-48 Saturday night at the Los Angeles Coliseum.

Luck brushed aside a rare mistake in the fourth quarter, an interception for a late TD late in the period that nearly cost the game for Stanford.

The Heisman Trophy front-runner went on to post another stellar outing by engineering four late scoring drives in the thrilling Pac-12 clash.

It was the third straight conquest and four of the last five for the Cardinal over their oldest rival in a series that dates to 1905.

The victory also enabled the Cardinal (8-0, 6-0 Pac-12) to extend the nation's longest winning streak to 16, a school mark.

Meanwhile, the national title hopes by the fifth-ranked Tigers (8-1, 5-1 ACC) were dampened Saturday night, when Clemson succumbed to a stellar Kevin Washington and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets in a 31-17 upset at the Bobby Dodd Stadium.

Junior quarterback Washington rushed for 176 yards and one TD. It was the most yards recorded by a Yellow Jackets quarterback, shattering the school quarterback mark of 151 yards rushing set in 2008 by Joshua Nesbitt.

No. 7 Oregon Ducks relied on backup quarterback Bryan Bennett to put away the Washington State Cougars 43-28.

Bennett, who took over for Darron Thomas in the second half, passed for two TD. True freshman De' Anthony Thomas also stepped up with two big scoring plays to help the Ducks (7-1, 5-0 Pac-12) notch their seventh consecutive victory overall and 21st straight win at home.

At Bill Snyder Stadium, Manhattan, KS, the No. 9 Oklahoma Sooners shut out Kansas State 35-0 in the second half en route to a 58-17 demolition of the eighth-ranked Wildcats.

It not only helped the Sooners get back on track (7-1, 4-1 Big 12) after seeing their 39-game home winning streak snapped last Saturday against Texas Tech, but also handed the Wildcats (7-1, 4-1) their first loss of the season.

The No. 10 Arkansas Razorbacks rallied past the Vanderbilt Commodores 31-28 Saturday at Vanderbilt Stadium, extending their winning-streak to four games.

With under seven minutes remaining, Zach Hocker kicked a 42-yard field goal, which proved to the difference for the Razorbacks (7-1, 3-1 SEC).

Vandy had a chance to tie the game with 12 seconds left in regulation, but Commodores kicker Carey Spear missed on a 27-yard stab.
