Rex Burkhead ran for 160 yards and a touchdown on a school-record 38 carries as the ESPN/USA Today No. 21 Nebraska Cornhuskers defeated the Iowa Hawkeyes 20-7.
The Huskers outgained Iowa 385-270, forced two turnovers and held the Hawkeyes to 2-for-12 on third down.
Taylor Martinez went 12-for-22 for 163 yards and a touchdown, with five receptions going to Kenny Bell, who finished with a team-high 93 yards receiving.
Nebraska led 10-0 at the half and built a 20-0 lead before a meaningless Hawkeyes touchdown with three minutes remaining.
Nebraska (9-3, 5-3 Big Ten) sits third in the Big Ten, behind Michigan and Michigan State for first place in the legends division.
Iowa (7-5, 4-4) still has a chance for a bowl bid, sitting firmly behind Nebraska, fourth in the Big Ten ahead of Northwestern
