Spencer Ware ran for a pair of scores and the LSU defense stifled Florida as the second-ranked Tigers rolled to a 41-11 victory over the No. 18 Gators Saturday.

The Tigers raced out to a 24-3 lead at the half and were never threatened as the Gators were held to seven first downs and 213 total yards.

Jarrett Lee and Jordan Jefferson split time at quarterback for LSU and each threw a touchdown pass for the Tigers (6-0, 3-0 SEC).

Lee threws a 46-yard scoring strike to Rueben Randle early in the first quarter and Jefferson found tight end Mitch Joseph with a jump pass from 2 yards out with 12:20 left in the game.

While LSU is playing two quarterback by choice, Florida (4-2, 2-2) had to turn to a freshman out of necessity.

With senior John Brantley and freshman Jeff Driskel injured in last week's loss to Alabama, Jacoby Brissett became the first true freshman in school history to take his first college snap as a starter.

The Tigers defense picked Brissett off twice and he managed to throw a 65-yard touchdown pass late in the third quarter to Andre Debose to pull Florida within 27-11.

Ware scored on a 2-yard run in the first quarter to make it 14-0 and his 8-yard scoring run midway through the second made it 24-0. Ware finished with 110 yards on 24 carries.
