New York, NY
With the NBA season remains on hold, rifts within the ownership ranks and the players association are beginning to unfold as another round of talks between both parties collapsed.
The NBA in on a verge of cancelling the whole 2011-2012 season after the league and the players association failed once again to come up with a deal that could potentially end this increasingly complicated labor dispute.
As another round of negotiations fell apart, basketball followers are slowly discovering cracks not only between but also within the two organizations.
Billy Hunter, the executive director of NBPA, is reportedly having a power struggle with union president Derek Fisher.
Fisher was reportedly accused of having a side deal with NBA commissioner David Stern to promote his post-NBA career, but later denied the accusation and reaffirmed his allegiance to the players union.
Nevertheless, there's an emerging division within the players union as the NBA lockout continues to drag on.
Defiance is also developing in the owners' circle with Miami Heat owner Micky Arison getting slapped a cool $500,000 fine for making comments about the ongoing labor talks.
"Honestly u are barking at the wrong owner," Arison replied to a fan on his Twitter page about calling team owners greedy pigs.
With no date scheduled for another round of talks, the NBA is left hanging with everyone to blame.
