It's like a broken record for the New York Yankees, except it works so well.

The Yanks left the ninth inning to Mariano Rivera again and he came through to record his 41st save of the season and 600th of the closer's glorious career.

Rivera, regarded as the best reliever in the history of the game by many, allowed just a hit, fanned two batters and lowered his ERA to 2.05 in the Bombers 3-2 win over the Mariners.

Only Trevor Hoffman also recorded 600 saves, though he didn't have the opportunities to excel in the postseason like Mo'.
