Seattle Seahawks rookie quarterback Russell Wilson was efficient in his second career start Sunday and Marshawn Lynch rushed for 122 yards as the Seahawks posted a 27-7 victory over the Dallas Cowboys.

Wilson completed 15 of 20 passes for 151 yards and a touchdown. He fired a 22-yard scoring strike to tight end Anthony McCoy to make it 20-7 with 5:12 left in the third quarter. It was Wilson's first career NFL TD pass.

Seattle (1-1) also got tone setting plays on special teams, forcing a fumble on the opening kickoff to set up Steven Hauschka's 21-yard field goal and blocking a punt that Jeron Johnson scooped up at the 3-yard line and ran in for a touchdown to make it 10-0.

The Cowboys (1-1) had 296 yards of offense and were unable to sustain the momentum they built in a season-opening win against the New York Giants.

The Seahawks limited the Cowboys to 85 yards in the second half and had two TD drives longer than that.

Wilson's touchdown pass to McCoy capped a 90-yard drive and Lynch scored on a 3-yard run to finish a 12-play, 88-yard march. Lynch has scored at least one touchdown in 12 of his last 14 games.

A rookie who finished his collegiate career at Wisconsin, Wilson drew praise from the Cowboys with his play.

"He's a rookie quarterback, but he plays with great poise, and he is a very good athlete," Dallas coach Jason Garrett said. "As the game wore on, they did a great job moving him around, and he made some real signature plays in this ballgame."
