The Oakland Raiders did a little bit of everything to win its first home game since the death of owner Al Davis.
Jacoby Ford returned a kickoff 101 yards for a touchdown, Darren McFadden rushed for a score and punter Shane Lechler threw a touchdown pass on a fake field goal as the Oakland Raiders posted a 24-17 victory over the Cleveland Browns Sunday.
McFadden rushed for 91 yards and gave Oakland (4-2) a 7-0 lead with a 4-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
After Browns quarterback Colt McCoy threw a 1-yard TD pass to Alex Smith to tie the score, 7-7, early in the second quarter, Ford took the ensuing kickoff to the house for his fourth career kick-return touchdown.
All was not smooth sailing for the Raiders as quarterback Jason Campbell left the game in the second quarter with a broken collarbone. Kyle Boller replaced him and completed 8 of 14 passes for 100 yards.
Sebastian Janikowski connected on a 48-yard field goal with 3:06 remaining in the third to give Oakland a 17-7 lead and Oakland lined up for a 53-yard attempt nearly two minutes later.
Instead of the long field goal attempt, Lechler took the snap and passed to Kevin Boss for a 35-yard touchdown.
McCoy tried to rally the Browns, throwing a 12-yard TD pass to Mohamed Massaquoi with 1:06 to play and Cleveland (2-3) recovered the ensuing onside kick. But McCoy threw three straight incompletions including one on fourth down to end the comeback.
