Not a whole lot is going right for the Chicago Bears right now but they did catch a break Monday.

An MRI confirmed Monday that Bears running back Matt Forte has a grade 2 MCL sprain and that there is no damage to his ACL. Forte is expected to be out from 2-6 weeks.

It's still a big loss for the Bears, who lost quarterback Jay Cutler to a broken thumb two weeks ago. Without their starting QB and running back for most of Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Chicago was anemic on offense in a 10-3 loss.

"Obviously, the production wasn't there," quarterback Caleb Hanie said. "Three points is not good enough. I've just got to do a better job getting us in the right position and getting the ball to our guys."

Hanie completed 11 of 24 passes for 133 yards and finished the game with a QB rating of 23.8.

Forte was injured with 6:00 left in the first quarter when he was hit by linebacker Derrick Johnson's helmet on the knee.

Forte entered Week 13 leading the NFL with 1,475 yards from scrimmage and ranked third in rushing with 985 yards on 198 carries. He left Sunday's game having rushed for 12 yards on five carries.
