The New York Giants are not taking any chances as they prepare for Michael Vick despite reports coming out Philadelphia that the ailing Eagles quarterback will not take the field Sunday night.

Vick did not practice Wednesday because of broken ribs.

He sustained the injury in last week’s loss to the Cardinals.

It is uncertain whether the Eagles dynamic signal-caller will take the chance against Giants Sunday.

Last season, Vick missed three contests with a rib injury.

Vick has thrown for 2,193 yards, 11 TDs and 11 interceptions in nine games this season in an uneven campaign for the struggling Eagles. He has also rushed for 535 yards.

If Vick does not suit up, the Eagles could go with either Vince Young or Mike Kafka, situations the Giants are expected to be prepare for as look to hold on to first place in the division.
