West Bromwich captured their third victory of the season as Olsson struck in the equalizer 45th minute mark and Paul Scharner scored the go-ahead goal in the 57th minute to edge Aston Villa.

Ashton nabbed the first lead of the match on a penalty kick by Darren Bent in the 23rd minute mark.

Down by a goal in the winding minutes of the first half, West Bromwich responded with a barrage of offense.

The first opportunity came in the 35th mark when Ashton Villa midfielder Chris Herd was flagged with a red card following a collision with Jonas Olsson inside the penalty box.

Chris Brunt, excellent as the team's offensive orchestrator, blew West Brom's first chance for an equalizer after drilling the penalty kick wide.

West Brom stayed aggressive on the offensive end and finally got their first goal on a wonderful header by Olsson.

But Brunt redeemed his early missed penalty kick by driving a beautiful corner kick that went straight to a bobbing Olsson, who headed home the equalizer just before halftime.

In the second half, Brunt hooked up with Olsson in the box but the defender's header went over the crossbar.

Finally in the 57th minute, Brunt launched again a nice ball from the corner and Scharner read it perfectly and chipped in the eventual game winner.

In the other English Premier League matches, Liverpool played a 1-1 draw with Norwich City while Wolverhampton Wanderers and Swansea City scored two goals each in their wins Saturday.

Sunderland pummeled Bolton Wanderers, 2-0 while Wigan Athletic edged Newcastle United 1-0.
