Brandon Roy's decision to sign a 2-year, $10.4 million deal with the Minnesota looks ideal in every angle as it fulfilled the former All-Star's destiny of becoming a T-wolf.

The Timberwolves got a big boost with the signing of Roy to a two-year contract.

Roy, three-time All-Star, retired from competitive basketball due to a nagging knee problem last December but a renewed commitment to basketball and effective therapy made him decide to continue his hoops career.

Originally drafted 6th overall by the Timberwolves in 2006, Roy's was immediately traded that night to the Blazers in exchange for Randy Foye.

Roy quickly emerged as a star for the Blazers, winning the 2007 Rookie of the Year and making it three All-Star games and two All-NBA selections.

However, Roy sat out most of the 2010-2011 season due to a nagging degenerated knee injury. Roy retired before the start of the 2011-2012 season and was amnestied by the Blazers.

Roy's arrival will give the Timberwolves a productive off guard, who could compliment Kevin Love and Rick Rubio.

Although expected to play limited minutes, Roy will play a crucial role for the T-Wolves in tight situation, making the team formidable next season.
