Toronto, ON, Canada

Tim Cahill recorded two goals, including a go-ahead header in the 89th minute, to carry the New York Red Bulls to a 2-1 win over Toronto FC in front of 20,009 fans Saturday at BMO Field.

The win gave the Red Bulls (4-4-2) their second straight road win and snapped Toronto FC's four-game unbeaten streak.

The Red Bulls have won three of their past four games and now hold an eight-game unbeaten streak against Toronto FC dating back to 2009.

Cahill also opened scoring for the Red Bulls in the 38th minute off an assist from defender Roy Miller, giving the New York Designated Player his first MLS goal since August 2012.

Substitute Jonathan Osorio scored his second goal of the season for Toronto FC (1-3-4), which lost for the first time at home this season.

With the loss, Toronto FC is still looking for its first MLS regular season win at BMO Field under Nelsen - their only home win of the season came at the Rogers Centre earlier this spring.

Toronto FC has gone 11 games without posting a league win at BMO, dating back to July 18, 2012.

Cahill's first goal came after an error by Toronto FC's right back Ryan Richter, allowing Miller to set up the finish.

Miller skipped a cross into the box from the left flank that Henry dummied perfectly, leaving Cahill with an easy left-footed finish past TFC goalkeeper Joe Bendik.

A big save by Bendik on a cut back shot from New York's Fabian Espindola prevented New York from heading into the break with a two-goal lead.

After coming on in the 79th minute, Osorio found the back of the net just four minutes later with a shot that beat New York goalkeeper Luis Robles, trying the game at 1-1 with seven minutes to play.

However, Toronto FC suffered another late collapse, allowing an opponent to score after the 75th minute for the fifth time this season.

New York returns to action Saturday against the Columbus Crew on the road while Toronto tries to seal a spot in the Canadian Championship tournament finals against the Impact Wednesday at Saputo Stadium in Montreal.
