Tim Hardaway Jr. became the second star player from the University of Michigan's Final Four team to declare for the NBA draft, after Trey Burke.

Hardaway, the son of former NBA All-Star Tim Hardaway, said he consulted with his father, his coaches, Burke and former Michigan guard Darius Morris about the decision.

"It felt good, felt better about myself and it was good to get it off my shoulders," the junior guard said about his decision.

The 6-6 Hardaway Jr. scored 1,532 points to be the 18th highest scorer at Michigan. His 202 three-pointers are sixth and his 440 career rebounds are 50th in school history.

A first-team all-Big Ten selection, Hardaway averaged 14.5 points and 4.7 rebounds last season for Michigan.

ESPN's Chad Ford forecasts him to be a second-round selection. He is the No. 15 shooting guard in ESPN's draft rankings and the No. 55 player overall.

According to Michigan coach John Beilein, both Hardaway and Burke told him they'd return to school, at some point, to finish their college degrees.
