The NFL 2008 season marks the third time in history that two players have passed for at least 3,000 yards in the

NFL Network analyst and former NFL head coach STEVE MARIUCCI has been impressed with the performance and leadership
of Drew Brees:
"Drew is having a great year," says Mariucci. "He's a veteran player who gives the Saints confidence. He makes his
receivers better and they play hard because of his leadership. He's also been good for the city of New Orleans and has
brought excitement to the fans."
Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback TROY AIKMAN, who now serves as an analyst for FOX and the Sporting News, is not
surprised with Kurt Warner's success this NFL 2008 season.
"It doesn't surprise me because I've seen enough of Kurt to know what kind of player and person he is," says Aikman.
"It's amazing when you look at his career to see how accurate he has been throwing the football. He's playing in an
offense that he feels really good about and he's got good players around him. He's a terrific leader for that team."

*Through 10 NFL 2008 Season Games
New York Giants (9-1) at Arizona Cardinals (7-3)
Starting quarterbacks Eli Manning and Kurt Warner know each other well. As a matter of fact, Arizona's KURT WARNER played
the Giants first nine games of ELI MANNING's rookie year (2004) before Eli finished the NFL 2004 season's final seven games.
Both are also Super Bowl winning quarterbacks and MVPs. Super Bowl XLII MVP Eli Manning led his Giants to a
17-14 victory over the New England Patriots. Kurt Warner was named MVP for
Super Bowl XXXIV as the Saint Louis
Rams defeated the Tennessee Titans 23-16. Kurt Warner was 24 of 45 for a Super Bowl-record 414 yards and 2 touchdown passes.
Kurt Warner QB, Arizona Cardinals
Both have excelled this NFL 2008 season. Kurt Warner leads the NFL in passer rating (105.5), has posted a club-record
four consecutive 300-yard games and has taken the Cards to a four-game division lead.
Eli Manning has led the Giants to their best start since their
Super Bowl XXV season of 1990 (10-0). The Giants have scored 30 or more points in their last
three games and lead the NFL with 292 points scored so far this NFL 2008 season. The Arizona Cardinals along with the New York Jets
are second in the points scored category with 289.
Even with those strong arms, the real battle could come on the ground. The Giants, with their three-pronged
"Earth, Wind and Fire" rushing attack of BRANDON JACOBS, DERRICK WARD and AHMAD BRADSHAW, lead the NFL going into NFL 2008 Week 12
in rushing and come off their third 200-yard rush game in a row, giving them a team-record five such games in a season.
This week the Giants face a strong Cardinals defense, the NFLs number 7 rush defense.
The Giants have won six consecutive games in domes, including at the site of this Sunday's game in University of
Phoenix Stadium when its roof was closed for Super Bowl XLII.
Green Bay Packers (5-5) at New Orleans Saints (5-5)
It could be special this Monday night in New Orleans when the air-show-express of QB DREW BREES and the Saints confronts
the blanket pass coverage of the interception-crazed Green Bay Packers.
Drew Brees, first in the NFL in pass attempts (398) and passing yards (3,251) this NFL 2008 season, is on pace to break
DAN MARINO's NFL single season record of 5,084 passing yards. Brees has the most 300-yard passing games (7) in the NFL
this year heading into NFL 2008 Week 12 and distributes his passes amongst his fleet of receivers MARQUES COLSTON, DEVERY
HENDERSON and LANCE MOORE. In addition running back RB REGGIE BUSH (42 catches) may be back this week.
That all said, the Green Bay Packers secondary led by CHARLES WOODSON and AL HARRIS can be daunting. Last Sunday, for
instance, Green Bay played five DBs to limit Chicago's air game in a 37-3 NFL 2008 Week 11 win. The Packers lead the
NFL with 16 interceptions (six returned for TDs) and has limited opposition QBs to league lows in passer rating (59.5)
and completion percentage (51.5).
Meanwhile, let's not forget that other QB Monday night, Green Bay Packers QB AARON RODGERS. In his first year as a
starter, Rodgers has taken the Packers to the same record as the Saints, is second in the NFL behind Brees in passer
rating (No. 5, 94.5, to Brees' No. 4, 95.4) and has thrown at least two touchdowns in a game five times this NFL 2008 season.
NEW YORK GIANTS (9-1) AT ARIZONA CARDINALS (7-3)
The New York Giants lead the series against their once division rivals with a 78-41-2 record. The Cardinals, however, have won
2 of the past 3 meetings. The Cardinals and Giants last faced each other on 9/11/2005 at Giants Stadium. The Giants won
convincingly by 42 to 19 margin as the New York Giants special teams scored 2 TDs (RB Willie Ponder, 95-yard kick return;
RB Chad Morton, 52-yard put return) in the win over the Arizona Cardinals.
Last week both teams won and maintained their leads in their recpective NFC divisions.
The Arizona Cardinals beat the Seahawks 26-20 on the road in NFL 2008 Week 11. It was the first time since the NFL 2002 season
that the Cardinals had won in Seattle. The Cardinals have now won 3 games in a row and hold a commanding 4 game lead in the
NFC West.
The New York Giants won their 5th consecutive game as they defeated the Baltimore Ravens at home easily by 30 to 10 final score.
The Giants offense rushed for 207 yards averaging 6.3 yards per carry as the NFLs best rushing offense was
they were never really challenged by the NFLs best-rated rushing defense. For the NFL 2008 season, the Ravens defense had
allowed an average of only 65.4 rushing yards per game.
This NFL 2008 Week 12 game pits two of the NFLs most effective offenses. The Giants and Cardinals rank 1 and 2 this
NFL 2008 season in points scored (Giants: 292 total points, 29.2 PPG & Cardinals: 289 total points, 28.9 PPG). The Arizona Cardinals are second in the NFL in passing and
2nd overall. The Giants have the best running game and the 4th best overall offense. Defensively, the Cardinals are 7th
against the run while the New York Giants are seond against the pass.
The Arizona Cardinals are 4-0 at home this NFL 2008 season and have a 7-game home win streak going back to their last 3 home games
of the NFL 2007 season.
A win in NFL 2008 Week 12 for the Arizona Cardinals against the Giants combined with BOTH a San Francisco loss (at Dallas) AND a Seattle loss or
tie (vs. Washington) gives the Arizona Cardinals its first division title since 1975 when the team was in Saint Louis and a member of the NFC East.
This is the Giants first regular season game at University of Phoenix Stadium. The key phrase is regular season
as University of Phoenix Stadium was the site of the
Giants 17-14 victory over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLII.
NEW YORK GIANTS (9-1)
The Giants have won 13 of their past 14 road games (including playoffs)

for 353 yards & 2 TDs (26, 35) as the Saints posted their 1st 2-0 start since 2002.
Last week both teams were victorious. The Packers routed the Bears 37-2 in their NFL 2008 Week 11 Historic 175th game
(
NFL Football 2008 Week 11: Bears Packers Historic 175th Meeting Most Series Games in NFL History).
With the Packers beating the Bears (37-3) and the Vikings losing to the Buccaneers (19-13) there is now a three-way tie
in the NFC North between the Packers, Bears and Vikings.
The Saints defeated the Chiefs 30-20 in Kansas City. It was the Saints first road victory in 5 tries this NFL 2008 Season.
