This year's most nominated film, The Shape of Water, is the tenth film in Oscar history to earn thirteen nominations. The current record of fourteen nominations is held by three films -- All about Eve (1950), Titanic (1997) and La La Land (2016).

The Shape of Water was the clear winner of this year's Oscar nominations. Guillermo del Toro's critically acclaimed fantasy drama starring Sally Hawkins received 13 Oscar nominations, including nominations in the prestigious Best Picture, Best Actress and Best Director categories.

Last year, La La Land was only the third film in the Academy Awards' history to receive 14 nominations, tying Titanic and All About Eve for a place in Hollywood's history books and going on to win 6 Oscars. This years Academy Awards take place on March 4.
