Brett Favre Career Statistics
by Dean Michaels
The NFL's only three-time MVP, Favre led Green Bay to 11 NFL playoff appearances, including seven division crowns, four NFC Championship Games, two Super Bowls and a Championship with a victory in Super Bowl XXXI.
Favre consistently disdained talk of statistics throughout his career, concerning himself most with his team's victories.
Since taking over as the Packers' starter in the fourth week of the 1992 season, he led Green Bay to a 160-93 regular-season record, tops in the NFL over that period.
Quarterback Brett Favre formally announced his retirement Thursday March 6, 2008 in a news conference at Lambeau Field.
Over the summer, Brett Favre reconsidered his retirement from the NFL; was subsequently re-instated by the Green Bay Packers; and then traded to the New York Jets. Indeed, Favre's unretirement was drawn out over a few weeks, but in the end for Brett Favre the "Bottom line is playing football."
