Citizens worry that the political stalemate is delaying Albania's EU integration path.

Albania failed to receive a recommendation to become an EU candidate country in the EC's most recent progress report.

The political stalemate between the two major parties, the Democrats in power and the Socialists in opposition, has hampered the country's EU prospects for the time being.

Members of the public say the stalemate is an obstacle to a better life and the main reason for the country's stalled EU integration path.

Some say that the current political climate creates insecurity in everything -- from the economic situation to daily life and work, impacting everyone.
