It's official-- there are more devices to connect you to the internet in America than Americans

According to data from research firm NPD Group, 425 million Internet-connected devices reside in U.S. homes. By comparison, the U.S. population is approximately 315 million people.

The use of web gadgets and internet-connected devices has become increasingly widespread in the United States and around the world. Smartphones, tablets, laptops, and other gadgets have become ubiquitous, and internet-connected devices such as smart home assistants, wearable fitness trackers, and smart appliances are becoming more popular.

According to a report by Pew Research Center, 81% of adults in the United States own a smartphone as of 2021, while 31% own a tablet and 74% own a desktop or laptop computer. In addition, a growing number of households are adopting smart home devices such as voice-activated assistants, security cameras, and thermostats.

While the widespread use of web gadgets has brought many benefits, such as increased connectivity and access to information, it has also raised concerns about privacy and security. As the use of internet-connected devices continues to grow, it will be important to address these concerns and ensure that these technologies are used in a responsible and safe manner.
