Andres Iniesta and David Villa netted a goal each and Barcelona easily nabbed a 2-0 victory over Viktoria Plzen Wednesday in their UEFA Champions League Group H showdown at Camp Nou.
Coming off a 2-2 draw with Italian football powerhouse A.C Milan, the defending UEFA Champions League champ are back to their winning ways as they effortlessly handled down Czech club Viktoria Plzeň.
Iniesta opened things up in for the Catalonian club 10 minutes into match after a series of touch passing with attacking partner Lionel Messi.
Barcelona had full control of the match with Iniesta, Messi, and Villa on target all night.
Finally in the 82nd mark, Barcelona notched its second goal of the match after a beautiful strike from Villa. Villa collected a loose ball and fired it into the net to cap a 2-0 win by Barcelona.
Meanwhile, Spanish national team striker Fernando Torres chipped in two goals to lead Chelsea to a 5-0 rout over Racing Genk in their Group E encounter in Stamford Bridge.
Torres, Raul Meireles, Branislav Ivanovic, and Salomon Kalou all contributed to the lopsided win Wednesday.
The win allowed Chelsea to claim the top spot in the Group H standings with a 2-1-0 record, while Barcelona (2-1-0) is tied with A.C Milan (2-1-0) in Group H.
