Midfielder Yaya Toure headed in the game-winning goal late in the second half and the Manchester City survived the Queens Park Rangers, 3-2 Saturday at Loftus Road.

Toure poked in the game-winner in the 74th minute to defeat the upset-minded Queens Park Rangers.

Forward Edin Dzeko, who came into the match with nine goals, tallied Manchester City's its first goal in the 43rd minute mark.

Dzeko's goal leveled the game after forward Jay Bothroyd came through with a header in the 28th minute to make Queens Park Rangers the first team to lead Manchester City in the English Premier League season.

Manchester City took its initial lead on a goal by midfielder David Silva in the 52nd minute.

But Queens Park Rangers forward Heidar Helguson deadlocked the match with his tally in the 69th minute mark.

With the game on the line, defender Aleksandar Kolarov lunched a curling cross into the box, allowing Toure to head the ball home for the game-clincher.

Helguson almost scored a potential equalizer eight minutes later but his shot hit the crossbar.

Manchester City improved to 10-1-0 in the season and more importantly solidified its grip on top of the English Premier League standings.

Manchester United (9-2-1), which defeated Sunderland Saturday courtesy of an own goal by Wes Brown, trails City by five points.

On other Premier League games, Newcastle United nipped Everton 2-1, Arsenal blasted West Bromwich Albion 3-0, Aston Villa edged Norwich City 3-2, Chelsea downed Blackburn Rovers 1-0, and Liverpool played to a scoreless draw with Swansea City.
