Chelsea forged a hard-fought 2-2 tie with Barcelona, taking a 3-2 aggregate win and advancing to the Champions League final.

Messi nailed a crossbar on a penalty kick in the 59th minute for Barcelona and hit the post with a shot in the 83rd.

Barca had 72 percent ball possession, a hefty 22-7 advantage in shots and an impressive 10-1 margin in corner kicks but failed to translate the strong play into more goals.

Sergio Busquets and Andres Iniesta found the back of the net for Barcelona.

Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are squaring off in the other semifinal.
